You say what makes the marines better, Its the fact that we have been through well hell, but we know that even though we are tired, wet, cold, exhausted, depressed ect we can still crack on. thats the different s. Except on SFSG finals, as per my earlier comments. As for the 'no better than an average ...

They're not, and never have been on a par with Royal or the Para Regt.LG Performance on the final exercise for the JSFSG selections would suggest otherwise. Para Regt' attack bogged down, until assisted by RAF Regt contingent, Royals injured or exhausted, Brigadier forced to make embarassing retrac...

Steady on a second HN. I think you may have mis-interpretated Tab slightly. When he said about he casualty figures I'm sure he was probably refering to the Military Police as a whole, remember the guys killled at the Iraqi police station in the early days of Telic? I don't think his remark was made ...

Always makes me titter when these situations arise. I have mates stationed at Keflavik, and they often tell of the way the Icelandics ignore them or look at them like pieces of sh*t, maybe with the odd 'go home yank'. Then they weep and moan when they do sod off. Laugh? I almost cried!

Thanks RAF Reginald, I wonder if I would be ok being a Squadron Chef with the RAF Regiment with my Colour Blindess CP4. Worth asking the AFCO. The chefs on the Regt sqns are very respected, the gunners tend to appreciate the work they put in more than some fat techy' who'd rather visit the kebab va...

Girls tend to be treated a lot better than the blokies, especially during the GDT phase with the Regiment (Funny that, eh?) That's because if we dare raise our voices to them, they colapse in floods of tears! Wrong isn't it? And they wonder why they're not allowed to join the RAF Regt!! Some good a...
