Re: RAF Lossiemouth to close

Your Information is factually Incorrect. RAF Lossiemouth is home to the Tornado GR4 OCU not Marham, Lossiemouth has it's own Tornado GR4 depth maintenance facility and is currently carrying out all Aircraft Preparartions for Aircraft deploying on operations. The maintenance facility at Marham is ra...

Re: Chemical warfare training in RAF

I have done this with the Police, our trainer is a former Royal, we use CS, he said it is the same thing the military use. My brother did his basic at Halton about 18 months maybe 2 years ago, they used CS in their CBRN training.

Lou

Maybe try popping down to a local TA centre and get involved there. Whist it isn't aimed at recruiting and developing officers it will help with your leadership, fitness, confidence etc, or a local RMR or RAuxAF sqn.

I am interested in the RAF Police. I always wanted to be a Gunner / Reg Officer. But after looking into the Police I have decided to seriously look at it. I am actually a serving Constable in a home office force, I spent a wek at Henlow in the summer with RAF Police and found it to be most informati...

My brother was told not to stand in the bath, not given a reason why though. I do know I wear combat boots everyday for work and swear by polishing them, dubbin and wearing them. All the boots I have had have a layer of a hard cardboard type material underneath the insole, make sure this doesn't get...

Quite right Tab. I have numerous friends who play profesional rugby, nearly all of them are classed as obese on the BMI chart. These guys though along with the likes of bodybuilders are the exception to the rule. Generally the BMI chart can be a handy tool in measuring a person's health as far as di...

Revol, To be an engineering officer you require an engineering degree. You could look at Welbeck College instead of A-levels, or apply for a bursary from the RAF to go to university. If you want to be a technician doing the hands on maintenance and repairs of aircraft and equipment, no degree is req...

The URL across the back sounds good. I think the L85 looks better, but I agree with Hyperlithe, not everybody would like that.
