Re: wow whats going on,

I'm sorry but a lot of the reminisicing here is not only avoiding the real reason why this site "died" so to speak but also one of the causes of it. It became more about the retired NCO's here still trying to assert dominance over potential recruits and enjoying their own little clique and...

As some may be aware there is prmc.co.uk which is booming, thanks in no short amount to the fact that the mods there don't e-stomp over the newcomers and bring allegiances from offline over to the web... You can't talk to would be recruits (lifeblood of the members here) the same way you talked to t...

The Bleep test is never 25m. It is scientifically designed for 20m, anything over that would alter the readings something chronic. It tests V02 max oxygen uptake levels (the amount of oxygen your body is capable of and is efficent at utilising), as well as "what level bleeps can you get to"...

I'm assuming you've read the other POC accounts here. I did the PRMC in 06' but know from reading here the POC is an absolute hangout. Load up on carbs mate, you'll need them. Take some Lucozade Sport down for rehydrating and some Pro-plus cos' you won't sleep down there. Just keep in mind that your...

When you go down to CTC as a Nod youl will notice an unusually high number of clipped cut glass acents when the Officers pass. It's no coincidence. I'm not saying don't set your standards high as a "normal" Commando is an achievement very few will ever accomplish. Jahboi I'm just giving yo...

My advice is go and join a good local circuit training class. The other people there will push you on. Don't stay still though constantly jog on the spot like you will on PRMC.

So i don't need any A levels to become a commando officer, thats good! You don't but in that case you better have a)Exceptional fitness b) Exceptional leadership qualities c) Exeptional life experience for your age. I'm going to stick my neck out here and state that Officer selection at CTC is stil...

The guy who filmed this was a snake pure and simple, you just don't do that sort of thing, I can't stand platoon grasses. He went in there looking for dirt and if you look hard enough you can turn any old sob story into something it's not. Let's face it, it'd have been a miracle if this guy didn't ...

Re: PRMC Appeal

Does anyone know weather you can appeal against a PRMC decision. As the Cpl's said even though i failed the 3miler by 4 seconds i could still pass the course if i did well in evrything else, just wondering if anyone knew. Doing that and getting through to RT would make you unpopular from the start,...

Good link mate.

When I was training for PRMC/RT I could bash out chinups by the dozen literally, went down to CTC, used the beam and got about 4 out lol. Completely different grip!

From what I've read about the incident it seems to have been taken in the wrong context. The reason they refused to book this guy a room wasn't for political reasons ie; the hotel doesn't agree with Iraq/Afghanistan, it was because they'd previously had problems with soldiers staying and then trash...
