oh man, I just came back after going through that course, and then the PRMC. And man oh man, it was awesome.

We did climbing, abseiling, sailing, speed-boating, banana-boating, and we did the death jump. that was awesome. also, we did lots of PT and got quite fit. all 13 of us on the course passed ...

what the hell? I wasn't told to bring any of that stuff. I have my PRMC on tuesday, and I was told just to bring clothes, hygiene stuff, pe kit, etc. I wasn't told to bring any forms or anything. maybe I should call my afco.

haha spot on artist. that's one of the reasons I want to join the Royal Marines - 99.99% need not apply. If I could be part of one of the most elite fighting forces in the world, then in my mind that makes me respectable (which is just about the only thing that matters to me).

what do marines do all day? I mean, after you've passed your 32 weeks, and you're not abroad on a mission, what do Marines do all day? work out? play games? what kind of duties and chores are you given?

I found out that the rate of pay for a Marine on entry is £11,774 a year. but, I haven't found how what the daily rate of pay is.

so far I have this information: 30 days a year paid holiday, and public holidays are free.

what other free time do marines have? one day a week free? two? one day a ...

dunno how this sounds, but do you shower nude on the PRMC or not? one time I went to this team activity thing at a pool and made the mistake of not being embarrassed about nudity - I showered without my kegs on, while all the other guys showered with shorts on and got changed awkwardly with towels ...

know 8 isn't early, but my point is that you can get up at any time, you just have to get used to it.
