I wouldn't get too wound up about it brother - the post is quite old. I personally don't go in for the Scottish Rite stuff, blue lodge does me fine, when I can be bothered these days. One thing about the Craft is that it takes up a helluva lotta time. You've got to have the time to give it.

They certainly have an agenda for power, sometimes dressed as a nationalistic ambition.

This is a subject close to my heart. The Long Fella was trying to be crafty. Technically the UK had a right to use the Treaty Ports because Eire was still in the Commonwealth until 1948 and although he had abolished the post of Governor General the King was still officially head of state until 1949....

I don't think it maters who gets in. The US is committed to a certain foreign policy which has been ratified by Congress. Whoever the President is has to take the same advice from the same military and administrative advisors as Bush had (apart from his immediate staff). Nothing will change, excuses...

They're just doing what ossifers do. When we did it, it was hooliganism, when they do it - it's high spirits. Mind you they have to pay for their sins as well. Look at the vast number of extras handed out to naive cornets, and the way they get charged extra on their mess bills for the damage they do...

Don't forget you can still join the Queen's Royal Hussars (Queen's Own & Royal Irish) and the Royal Dragoon Guards (including 5th Inniskilling DG). These have high numbers of Irish guys and welcome recruits from south of the border.

Now there are mates of mine who were troopers and have come up through the ranks and they a...

Education 2. Ability 3. Suitability While a well educated, able, ex-public schoolboy is obviously a suitab...

Better to try for the lottery i would think, that way you remain at home until you get it, and i think you would get the card quicker, i dont have specific knowledge on this though. That will only work if you have an Eire Passport. UK Citizens are not eligable. Fortunately as a Northern Paddy I hav...
