Hi

Posted this on TA forum but hopefuly may get a better reply on here.

Just seeing if anyone was going on the gap year that 4 para are offering or if anyone knows anything about, whether its popular etc?

Do you reckon you'll need a degree?

I know they don't say it's required but with the competition for places are you less likely to be accepted into officer training if you don't have a degree?

That had crossed my mind, but after looking on here it's quite clear that older applicants are preffered when applying as an officer for the Marines.

I just thought I could wait a few years until i'm a bit older. :-?

Hi

Went to the AFCO this week as I've decided not to go to university and wanted some info on possible careers in the forces.

After speaking to a man from the RAF I decided that WSOp does look like a good career and something i'd enjoy.

Hi

Was just wondering what the minimum length of service is for an RAF Gunner. It's probably on here but I can't find it anywhere so...

I read that it was 9 years! Is that correct, because it seems like a long time?

That's what i'll do then hopefully! :D Mines a 4 year course though so i'll have a bit more time to prepare and mature.

If i joined the RMR while at Uni, how would i go about trying to join as an officer in the regulars once i get my degree?
