One thing that news site doesn't mention is that the the mall had signs posting saying that the wearing of clothing which could cause a disturbance would be grounds for removal. The mall had been the location for protests less than three months ago. Further, the mall itself is a private property, th...

Stretch your back out today and take a sauna or whirlpool/jacuzzi/bath. It's likely just a sore muscle and nothing more serious.

I cant believe the troops are using their own cash to buy kit via mail order. Per several other sites I frequent, American and Canadian soldiers both make a habit of using non-standard gear. The mountain climbing/outdoors companies are far faster at adopting new items (like Gore-Tex in the 80s, and...

I believe the US Military has something like 47,000 men in their Special Forces command. I believe that includes all branches (Navy SEALs, Air Force Combat Controlers/Parajumpers, Army Special Forces (green berets), Delta Force, and even the Rangers). They do have quite a few more men in uniform tha...

I think the odds are it'll be sorted out peacefully.

The buildup is a good excuse for an exercise in the sand, and should war be necessary it's better to have everyone there than wait months.

Not to fan the flames at all (well, maybe a little) but why is is that women are so determined to have equality in the most serious of occupations, but aren't out there campaigning to have women playing on rugby or football teams? In Canada, women are permitted to join the Infantry but their standar...

Only time I've coughed up blood was when I decided it would be a good idea to ignore my sour throat and go for a run anyway. When I finished I was coughing something fierce and noticed some blood in it. The next day I couldn't talk at all and my throat was beyond sour. Took the day off work and slep...

Justin, have you spoken to a recruiter about colour blindness? I called them about vision issues before (I'm short sighted) and they had me fax over a copy of my prescription that they then had a medical officer look at. They said nothing about colour blindness.
