Cheers mate, I think I might take your advice, just waiting for an email to confirm if I can start training in September. Does your wife enjoy her job? Do you think it would be possible to join RMR later down the line or would not being able to work weekends be a problem? My wife loves her job, wou...

Think they would have a problem with that mate? I can't help much as I'm still at college but I'm hoping to join RMR in September, same time I'm hoping to start ambulance technician training, dunno how/if they'll take that. So ye, as southerncomfort said; any advice on how others handled their empl...

Baby comes first everytime. Take a step back and get things into persepective. The Royal Marines will still be there once you and your family are settled into your new life. That said, only you and your missus can decide whats right for you, make sure your mind is 100% focused on whichever decision ...

Bottom field :D On that morning you will have a go at the Commando slide / zip wire. You will then have a run through of the assault course, practising a couple of sections at a time. You will then do a timed best effort on the assault course. It will probably take you just over 3 mins, practise you...

They were not very specific on style. I did marine style because thats what i'm used to. But, get this, you can rest on your knees at any time as long as you keep your hands on the mat! Pis3ed myself at that. Sit ups are hands on chest, shoulders on mat, up to 90 degrees and back down. Easier than, ...

Obviously depends on your intellect, but imho it was a piece of piss and managed every question I hope your not questioning my intellect. Well done for passing.... In my quote I was thinking about officer application, but if you found it a piece of piss, I'm sure you would have been fine anyway. Ha...

I phoned 23 about joining without any previous service. They said that you have to have passed CIC before attempting selection. They normally arrange it with 4 PARA. Does anyone know if you do P Company also? CIC/P-Coy has just changed and you do P-Coy, then CIC in a 2 week block. You will have to ...

It's very easy, don't stress about it. I'm not saying it's hard but you CANNOT wing it. Make sure do some proper revision for it. As the questions in the section go on they do get harder, so just doing the ones in the practice booklet isn't enough, well, in my opinion anyway. Good Luck David Didn't...

Only you can answer this one really. If it was me though, I would have a rest off running for 4 or 5 days, then go for run and see how you feel. Knowing me I would go to prmc whatever if they are just niggles. If you seriously don't think you can do the run in the required time then theres no point ...
