Cheers Briggfoot, I'm currently aiming to alowly take the weight off at the gym until I can do 3 sets of 6 pull-ups, then I'll concentrate on increasing the number. My press-ups are shite too. I'm one of those people who finds running (especially timed 3 and 5 mile runs) easy to improve given time, ...

Thanks for the tips people. I currently use the power lift at my gym and I can do 3 sets of 6 reps with 15kg on the platform (reducing my weight from 72kg to 57kg) or 3 sets of 15 reps with 30kg on the platform (weight down to 42kg). It's quite embarrasing how weak I am actually, although I'm consta...

I also find the Lats pull down machine at the gym b****y brilliant for building the pull up reps. Give it a whirl! :D I've been meaning to give it a go actually. :D Could you tell me the number of reps and sets you use to maximise improvement on pull-ups? I'm not sure whether to go for endurance an...

Okay, fine. Insult me but answer this question in return. I've answered it already but why can't people with glasses become pilots, aircrew or Intelligence Officers? I assume there's a ready availability of people suitable for these jobs that have perfect eyesight, and therefore it would be nonsens...

Brilliant effort mate, I doubt there's many people who deserve to pass more than you, especially considering how long it's been for who and the small fact that you've passed it twice! :)

Great list, Frank.

I'd like to add:

Homer - The Iliad and, to a lesser extent, The Oddysey
Leo Tolstoy - War and Peace (a right big'un)

It says on that website that for RM Pilots, Snipers, Swimmer-Canoeists and Landing Craft, you need S1. I think I'm S3 (near the S2 end though), does anyone know if I'd be barred from any others jobs in the RM? Sorry of this information is available somewhere on the net but I've looked and I can't fi...

Yes, I've heard of plenty of people who've joined the TA during sixth form/college or university. As you're in full-time education, you're exempt from compulsory mobilisation, providing the s*** doesn't hit the fan big time.
