cheers AJ, sound advice as ever!

Will definitely try to get back in there, its not particularly size intimidation cos I know that as far as what I'm training for I'm far fitter than the majority of them.
But yeah you're right, I shouldn't be bothered by the rest of them :D

I must admit, I find the weights room a tad boring as well, struggle to motivate myself in there, would much rather be going for a run or climbing in the lake district (only half an hour away). Cheers though, advice is always appreciated and I must admit I do like the idea of building a sledge and c...

I've got some free weights at home which I use in my ordinary daily routine, am I going to be missing out on a lot if I stop using the gym for...

Any advice about creatine mate? I've been using a whey powder in conjunction with my training but I've been wondering about incorporating creatine into my training as well. I had a look around the net and there seems to be a lot of mixed reports about the benefits of it or rather there seems to be a...

Aside from mental attitude (which is realise is the most important cos no matter how fit I can get I will still be pushed beyond my limits :D ), as far as strength goes is it a matter of having an awesome power to weight ratio? Oh and I forgot, about my prev post on pilates? Have you got any advice ...

I'm not huge (I'm 11st) but I've been doing martial arts for 10 years and I've been climbing for about 6yrs as well. The combination of these is really good if you want a great power to weight ratio (hence loads of pull ups) and I've been training with the RM in mind for about 2yrs. But like I said ...

Once again mate good post and very helpful! Is there any particular kind of prep to focus on? I'm involved in a lot of stuff at uni which requires leadership and responsibility i.e. running one club and I set up the student social for another. If you fail AIB do you have to start from square 1 or do...

Hell yeah I want it! I'm at uni now going to do my POC in march time next year and will be going for the sept '09 intake. Sorry but I've got another question about the RMFA, I apologise if you already said about this but, with the pull ups are you expected to go to full arm extention and lock out yo...
