Anyone in training at CTC at the moment know if there is a geordie DL called Cpl M****r still there, (he owes me a quid). Im rejoining after christmas, after a long year in civvi street, leaving was the biggest mistake I made!

yep same for me John it's f@#k@#g outrageous i've fractured my foot too, and will be joining you for my tour in Hunter on Monday. try it, different programmes work for different people you need to know what you want out of it. sounds like your concentrating on cv a bit too much you need to put a bit more upper body/strength exercises in there aswell.

there is a water jump, 6 ft wall, leaning gate, a net you crawl under, monkey bars over water, zig zag wall with gaps, chasm that you crawl over, swing bridge, 5 ft wall, gate, tunnels, and a 12 ft wall then a 15 metre sprint to the finish. hope this helps.

8 to 9 months following the booklet the afco give you it worked well for me remember to take yourself up to a peak and then taper back down a few times throughout. any shorter period of time and it wont be worth goin

some lads probably wont agree with this but if you put your boots in the bath and mould them to your feet you are gonna suffer on yomps and speed marchs as your feet swell when doing phys of that extent.

i agree with druadan and gunn, but only because of the time scale, you wont be able to get fit enough in three months. i used the little booklet from the afco but i gave it 7 months taking it to a peak every 8 weeks and it was a great way of compounding fitness. for somone just starting training it ...
