Your feet must have been sweating buckets!

he obviously didnt have waterproof shoes.
walking with wet feet causes all sorts of problems, and while your feet would sweat, the problems would be nowhere near as bad as having soaking feet for 6 hours. also, shoes ...

Thanks for the quick responses gents. Now to alter my work out schedule...

to add to what spence said, working the traps will also probably be beneficial.
dumbell shrugs are the best exercise for doing this, and upright rows will also work them.

runs with a weighted pack can help train the lower ...

Also ever considered joining a boxing gym to do some circuit training?
You can build up great core fitness and strength, and you can just do the circuit training if you don't fancy the ringwork, sparing ect.

Just a thought why not look into it? You might love it.

Cheers, Bird

That is ...

im not saying dont run. however, most experienced trainers, runners etc will tell you a critical factor in speed is strength and power.
the further you travel per natural stride, the longer you will be able to run, and the faster.

high weight low reps is the faster way to increase brute strength ...

jock, if i were you, i would cut out some of those press ups and sit ups.

you say your poor at them, and increasing the load on those muscles so quickly will probably end up with an injury.

i pulled my pec, and its a bastard if you pull it quite badly, i tell you. there are few exercises save ...

Thank you for bringing up one thing I'd forgot to mention - thermos flasks are good for a hot drink!!!
.

Just don't use the ones that have glass on the inner layer because if you drop them and the glass inside smashes you won't know until you go to drink it.

Matt

just wanted to say that i ...

What do you need to do 1 handed press ups for ?

I'd just concentrate on doing normal press ups and diomands in regards to prmc.

Maybe they look good to the lads but quite pointless if your looking for a killer workout.

pointless?
as has been said yes they shouldnt be regularily done by most ...

creatine does little for you, it mainly increase water retention, which will help when running etc.
it creates dependance, and when you quit using it you will feel crap, and be nowhere as fit as you thought.
There are so many misconceptions surrounding creatine. Creatine is found natrually and can ...

Is it not just CQC which if you search around you can find it.

close quarter combat training is probably quite hard to get as a civvie.

As far as i am aware CQC in the military is a combination of unarmed combat to deal with armed and unarmed opponents, as well as combat with weapons soldiers ...
