I have a few questions related to RMR London, im not trying to highjack the thread. I am looking to join Chatham detachment which i believe is RMR London. I won't be able to do this until I come back from a trip to Venezuela which will be mid August. I would like to know if there is a minimum amount...

http://www.armedforces.co.uk/navy/listings/l0038.html#SUMMARY I think MrC is nearly there with the details but I found a good webpage that details the organisation of a Commando. I don't have a scooby doo what the site is for, I found it whilst trying to search for Rigid Raiders for sale :D Don't ...

I don't want to add to the argument but i would like to point out that I think you, Alfa, have the wrong end of the stick with regards what RMRO said about the difference in training. My take on it was that RMRO was inviting people on the forum to have a look at the differences all round, not just t...

Welcome, it will be great to have even more excellent advice on this forum. My question isn't to do with life in the Royal Marines as such. I would like to know if the Commando Display Team are going to be at Biggin Hill air show and when the next Meet the Marines days around Kent are going to be. C...

Use the good old search button as I am pretty sure I myself have asked this question before. It's your choice at the end of the day whether you go to uni or not and should be made on the basis of whether you want to or not. Personally I don't want to so I am taking a gap year to get some good life e...

I contacted the people about this and got the reply below: Mitchell, Thank you for your comment below, and good to hear you have enjoyed using the very popular Royal Navy web site. With regards to the 'following the marines' film series on the site, it has been very popular and, as I am sure you saw...

The law that only 18 year olds can go into combat was passed after the Falklands I think. Don't know about the RM units but definitely know that in 3 Para there were at least 4 possibly five 17 year olds. One died on his 18th birthday on Longdon, 2 of his mates also died at 17 and the other 1 surviv...
