I'm sure every single one of us on here can take patronising comments, that's not the point. It's uncalled for.
So wind your neck in little boy
P.S.
_chris, damn it. The phrase "took the words out of my mouth" springs to mind.

Unfortunately I can't offer any definitive answer, only what I can recall. I'm sure it was late 90's when the rules changed regarding under 18s in combat. I remember there being a big hoo ha over it all because Britain was the only force in NATO who still used under 18s in a front line role, so to b...

Re: Sprinting / Hill Sprints
I have been doing a 3 mile route 5 days a week monday to friday, but over the last couple of weeks I've swapped 2 days to jogging half a mile to the park and sprinting over the football pitch (sprint across and job back 5 times) or sprinting up a hill of about 70 yds or so (again, sprint up and jog...

Go to the doctors, explain your situation and firmly request a referral to a physio and podiatrist. I did this and got an appointment within a fortnight. Different PCTs though, so it varies from place to place. Otherwise do what illustrious said, first go through the proper channels and if that does...

This post is really becomming ridiculous. Look it's this simple you're not training for an Ironman, ultramarathon, everest summit so you don't need specialist foods/nutrition/supplements/recovery drinks etc. Simple fact is mixed diet, cut out the cr@p foods as much as possible, oceans of free tap w...

Unfortunatly mate, that's a bit beyond my area of expertise! I'm sure there is a difference and that different sugars ellicit a different hormonal response, but if your muscles are decently sensitised to insulin then I think that it comes down to personal preferance/availability. The real difference...

I did know this, but what are your views on it... worth purposely causing a insulin spike or not? (If it was only after exercise and at no other point during the day) I’ve always been lead to believe that this can be beneficial? Stokey Hell yes. The key is controling these spikes so that your muscl...

While doing endurance running I really can't see you causing microtears in your muscles, so I don't think you would need large ammounts of protein. :o :-? I don't see microtears being caused either, but then again I'm not a microscope. Running still creates a need for muscle rebuild and repa...

You won't be needing protein shakes unless your doing weight lifting, if you really feel the need not to just drink water, then you should have some high sugar drink. Interesting. RE: Steroids. AJ I agree with you regarding steroids and the military. They are a banned substance and if caught you wi...

Yeah if you believe yourself to be overweight then I would probably start there. Begin by building up from the basics. I'm pretty much going to reitterate what Illustrious said, get some swimming in, some cycling too maybe. Also hit the weights. As always work the compound lifts (e.g. Bench, Squat, ...

Excess protein can...even damage your liver Show me one study that suggests this happens. If you meant kidneys, I would say this; show me one study done on the effects of excess protein causing kidney damage. The only studies that suggest this were carried out on patients already suffering from som...
