Joining RMR whilst in college

Hi,
I was wondering if joining the RMR when in college is a good idea. I live a couple of hours away from London by train so it's not too far, but I was thinking if it's a good idea or not and if anyone else does it?
Another thing I'm not 100% sure about is the minimum time of service. Is it 4 years ...

I might be wrong but I think they had some problems somewhere. Might have been somewhere on the east coast. But I'm not 100% certain.

Hi, i'm in school at the moment, but need to decide what im gonna do quite soon. I wanted to join the marines, but i didnt want to do that for the whole of my carer. Thanks guys, looks good. I'll give it a try, probably starting tonight. Another thing which hinders me is I'm not disaplined enough. I usually can't be f*****d to go running, really got to change that!! Thanks for the advice, i'll start tonight.

Right, probably going to cause some problems here.
I put it in to the search thing but couldn't find what I wanted. I'm sure its there somewhere though.
What I'm looking for is a really good training program for the POC, especially focusing on the running side of things (my week point).

just started just now, really good. Saw someone said that marine press ups, pull ups and sit ups. Know what the Marine press ups and pull ups are, but I don't know what marine sit ups are. Could someone explain please?

Exactly the same. Sprung the news on them two days ago. Dad doesnt mind. Mum went mad. "It's like commiting suicide!!" Blah blah blah. Still is, especially when I watched that program about the war in Afaganistan yesterday.
