Does the RNR have an onbard role?
There's a bit of confusion with some of us over whether the RNR actually train and deploy onboard ships, or are strictly a shore support role?

3 int corps
Anyone have any info on them? I know they had a site up a while back, but that seems to have gone down, and the only stuff i can find on them is all about the regs.
Also, anyone have any personal experience with the regiment, with their training, etc?

It was an informal interview, pretty laid back. I had a brief on the Int Corp in general and details on pay, commitments etc. Approx 80% of applicants are graduates, and they can afford to pick and choose as quite a few people apply. Not being a Graduate does not have seemed to hindered my applicat...

3 second breaths???? I must be built differently then, because i'm breathing in and out like a bellows when i'm sprinting. But for speed, heres a couple of simple tips. 1) concentrate on keeping your shoulders relaxed. If you start to hunch and tense your shoulders then it impairs your breathi...

The way i used to mix it up, was to follow a very simple press up program for about a month, in which time i roughly doubled how many press-ups i could do. Generally it went: Sat - one set of press-ups til failure. Use this number as a basis for the following week. Sunday - rest. Mon - Fri, 3 sets o...

Posting a bit late i know, but... The method that really worked for me - pyramids never did for some reason or another :-? - was to do half my maximum press ups, three times a day, all week long. IE assuming my maximum was 20, like yours, my routine would be: Mon - Fri: x10 in the morning before bre...

If you're low tech, like me, and like keeping workouts simple to avoid overcomplicating things, here's a little one i used to do. Go to your local park and find 2 trees a decent distance apart - anything from 30 - 100 metres. Sprint from one to the other, walk back to the first one, and repeat. Do t...
