Which is a 2.5-3 mile run with sprints as a warmup followed by 6 3 minute rounds on the heavy bag / shadow boxing or 2 rounds sparring and then a circuit consist...

Yeah I quite like rowing, it's my first choice for non-impact exercise since I don't have an accessible swimming pool. off-topic: Stu-, about your asthma how far did you get through the application process before you were binned on those grounds? Did you have a spirometry test or did they just look ...

Welcome to MFAT. Generally I'd say the main things are 1.5 (2.4km) mile best effort time which is the standard Battle Fitness Test, maximum amount of pressups in 2 minutes and the same for situps. Bench press and weights, while impressive, aren't something that you should concentrate on for the mili...

I have a booklet that has diagrams on the different exercises you do, and for sit-ups you have someone put weight on your feet while you do your situps. I can't do them without weight on my feet either, they end up more like leg raises. The chins are done on a beam and your palms facing away from yo...

Yeah it was mental, 200 days at see and the fishing boat ruined it for them, can't imagine how gutted they must have been.

The Fleet Air Arm programme was about the Arctic training in Norway, it touched on RMs but it was mostly about the technicians and pilots side of things.

TV tonight 23:00

On UKTV Docs +1 there's a documentary about the two Royal Marines that rowed across the Atlantic, and at 1:30 on Discovery Wings there's something about the Fleet Air Arm, I didn't catch it when it was first played today but it's on again at 1:30AM. Might not be interesting but meh, thought I'd ment...

I thought Jarhead was great, it isn't an action movie so don't go in expecting to see one. It was about the aspects of war other than the battles, and how it affects the relationships with the people back home. It touched on the boredom that comes with waiting during a war, and since Desert Storm wa...

Care to ellaborate GGHT?
You mean just warming up and stretching pre/post-workout or doing it to increase flexibility?
