I think those who join after leaving university are at the rank of 2Lt during training then get a promotion to Lt on completion of phase 1. Direct entry candidates, or those who pass between 18 and 20, stay at 2Lt until they reach 21

well things have changed it seems, only 1 guy got past 14 on my POC. odd though, after around 6 months of far less training after my POC i still pushed out a 13.1 when doing the bleep test with the Officer Training Corps at uni.

One of the guys on my AIB said somethin similar, and the captain that told him maxed out all the RMFA scores on his POC apparently. Realistically though, that is difficult to achieve.

yeh no probs, its where they select the top candidates from the combined POC and AIB scores if there are too few places for the amount of people that passed.

I believe last year it was around 1 in 11/12 so yeh thats a pretty accurate estimate. For my POC, around 10/21 passed and in my AIB 3/8 passed.

On your POC they wont expect you to know much about the Navy, just get your knowledge of Albion, Bulwark and Ocean up to a decent level
