Presuming that was aimed as me: I am not a student. So no I can't teach you about student life, but maybe a little about respect for people who deserve it, rather than a bunch of dimwitted wannabes. This whole thing sparked from me saying that the Black Watch deserved respect. The fact that this lot...

I found a walt!

So I was in my local gym yesterday, plodding away on the treadmill, when I noticed a guy with a fairly massive beer gut, doing his induction with one of the instructors. Being the nosy bugger that I am, I decided to listen in to the conversation that had just struck up. "So what are you doing a...

Yes I know about the Paras being a great regiment. I also know what a 'CrapHat' is, having read hundreds (not literally) of books on the Paras (and knowing five paras). And Black Watch being the most respected regiments in the World- I meant regular infantry, and throughout the military world, espec...

The SBS only take applicants from crack infantry regiments (Paras, Black Watch etc.), unlike the SAS, who'll take anyone from Royal to Army Catering Corps (as long as they're good enough  ), which does bring up the question of difference of experience between the two.

I don't think you can call the Black Watch hats. They are one of the most respected infantry regiments in the World. Don't have a go at someone gobbing you off by gobbing someone else off.

You would be much, much more ill if you had glandular fever. It's just a virus. It's also well known that glandular fever usually lasts for a minimum of 3 or 4 months, so good luck to you if you really believe that that is what you have.

Maybe a little bit of Pythag, but I am almost positive there is no trig. In the aptitude tests, there were only speed/distance/time sums. Pretty hard ones at that.
