Yea thats another good poem, the actor reads it well, i've had a look for the definitive edition and theres so many with various dates, from the 1940's up to one thats 2009, i take it they'll all be the same but just printed in said year.

Haha, roger that I'll keep a look out for the book, I'm thinking ebay or amazon.

£1 a gallon, bit dear that, i'd barter them down a bit, and get some free eggs thrown in.

I'm sure theres a few units which have adapted the poem to their liking, i looked up 'if' by R Kipling and its good i must admit, and i've never been that big on poems but his work is excellent.

I take it your an old sweat Rover, for want of a better phrase ofcourse. :)

Thats an excellent poem, especially the last bit, i recognise the last paragraph from a book i think. A couple of lads i know have recently come off selection, and they're a hell of alot fitter than me so naturally 'selection' still has that daunting chill about it.

The look at life week should be a good thing, i've never been on one but everyone seems to enjoy them, the look at life course will be specific to the regiment you want join, so in this case you'll do the 5-day insight course at gib barracks in surrey. you'll be given a good insight into what sapper...

alright fella, I'm hoping to go RE too, going through the application process atm and im concentrating on press-ups, sit-ups and chin-ups, all of which i can do in my room/house. cheers for the reply mate lol first reply ive got, ideally id go str8 to depot and then obviously battalion but the course im doing at college will stand me in good stead for when i leave or if i leave the forces. hence im having to do reserve forces for now. ive heard it can be boring and quiet but...

Hello all, I was just wondering if 4 para soldiers can transfer straight to a regular battalion? im not tryin to skip recruit training but am thinking about 4 para for whilst im at college/apprenticeship and then when im done with that maybe going reg. whats the procedure then for you moving over, will you have to do the 2 week course 4 para do p company in?

im thinking about doin the same after cic, which for me is either april or may.

lol aahh my mum will love watching that the night before i go away lol

it'll be interesting though, never seen a decent documentary on training just that pretty naff one we get to see in the careers office!!

cheers ben, ill keep my eyes open for him, like you said he shouldnt be hard to spot, best of luck on prmc it'll be easier for me to spot the prmc out rather you scanning for us nods. ill give you a shout if i see you lot walking around.
