the main recon or as its called in the British army is STA (survailence and target aquisition) some of the more elite of the army are the Special Reconnisence Regiment, Special Observers( 4/73. hi, you guys are hurting my head with all this technical training stuff lol, one o the best bits o phys you can do for cardio is fartlek(interval) get yourself good route for fartlek i normally do bout 4 miles, nice steady state run for two miles then the last 2 miles i find myself some distance ...

just got back from afghan yay!!!
Well just got back from the Afghan after 4 months, yeah only four months, but I'm back out in March, really good tour alot better than Iraq and sure beats mincing round the regiment....

hi there...like the others have said marines is an infantry unit artillery is a gunnery unit....so its not a step down, its a different job.....29 cdo is a choice but firstly your gunner not a marine so itl be a waste of your time to go artillery if you wanna go marines. and as for time period you ...

since my last post im back in the RA now...in 40th regt which has converted from as90 to lightgun...and believe me i thought id rejoined the infantry they are constantly in iraq or afghanistan in the infantry role...which is a bummer cause if id wanted to be hardore infantry i wouldnt of joined the ...

good point what is your injury? also i should'nt think you have to do any more training,as i have just gotten back in in june 2006 and i was out for nearly 4 years and aint had to no training at all!!!!!

hi mate, from what i know from all the sickies on my guard shift when you get brown lettered its permanent, however...a few things...
what stage were you at when discharged i.e training or in regiment...
as far as i know the only way you woould get in is if it was an injury that can be fixed...e.g ...

just a quick whinge.....got all my new kit issued then got sent on summer leave...me being clever thought i wont bother braking in my boots as i had spent years in the army before and thought my feet were still tough....OH MY GOD was i wrong my poor tootsies were pis*ing blood after pt session this ...

im 28 now nearly 29 and have just re-enlisted back into the artillery...which next to infantry is a job role you gotta be very fit for,especially as my regiment as converted to ...
