Yeah mate you are right. The enemy was apparently just jumping out 10 m or so away and firing which was how this lad got hit from the side. Jumping out of rat runs etc

Bye Bye AGAIN........

Well i am at South Cherney right now and all ready for my flight to Afghanistan. It was just under a year ago i was here going to Iraq. Oh well here's hoping i come back in the same condition and that it goes quick, 7 months is a long time.

Royal Anglians, Grenadier Guards, WFR and Royal Welsh are the infantry regiments, although its only one coy from WFR and Royal Welsh deploying. Royal Anglian and Grenadier Guards are all ready to deploy having done all the training, i am on POTL right now.

Yeah i don't see any big deal over this at all. So what if he is black and an officer, i didn't even notice that he was the first black officer or the only one in the regiment. To me he was just a new officer rocking his one pip like any other.

Not with these bergans, there not normal ones you get issued, there designed to keep something cool in hot weather, and you cant put anything else in it as the equipment will overheat.

When i was doing OpTag confirmatory training, one of the straps inside my 'whats it called' bergan was broken and on a 12 miler it just went clink, clink. Are you a cadet? Is there not an NCO who knows what they doing that could help you?

For it flapping around, put the pouches closer together so there tight then bungee or use a utility strap on the back to keep it together.
