ive just finished my basic training at Halton and like you i have a long term girlfriend, although she is important to me i would never let her stand in the way of my raf career as so far its great. you could only move into a raf house with her if you are married.

well the time has almost come for me to embake on an adventure of a lifetime, at precisely 10:30 on Tuesday 6th September 2005 i will be leaving in my car for RAF Halton.

Just to say thanks for all the input and the great site, it sure did help me a grate deal in my application and answered many ...

not only will they ask him about the job he wants, they will ask alot about his personal life i.e. what activities he is into, keeping fit, family life etc just to get an incite into if he is a 'military' person meaning is he a team player and doesnt just sit at home in front the tv!

mine never got moved mate, they said i would get confermation 8 wks before my date and the final interview 6 wks before which i thought was a bit backwards. anyways, i never got confirmation just my interview and was given a formal offer after that (6 wks before Halton)

Kit List - 'Small Rucksack'?

hi, one my kit lists it requests i bring a 'small' rucksack, what would you lot say is the best size (in litres) and i mean best by way of fitting stuff in but also being able to cart it around when needed. do they issue a larger rucksack?

sorry to say mate but you will have much difficulty with your colour blindness, my mate tried to get in who is also colour blind, no chance they said after the medical. suppose you could give it a go tho you might not be as bad as him.
