Haven't made a post for ages because we've been fairly busy with the optag and admin for op herrick. We start deploying around sep/oct time. On summer leave now thank christ, been shitters every night for over a week so might have to stay in tonight :P no farkin chance. jumped in the pond at the top...

It depends on your training team, phase 1 will definetly be pussers only, phase 2 you might be allowed your own warmers kit but that'll probably be it. I garuntee that you wont be allowed assault vests and gucci boots. As for quality kit after you pass out, don't get your hopes up, I think you might...

I cant say wethere trainings softened up over the years because i've only just done it, but the thing about training teams needing permission to thrash you , i think is bollocks becuase we got thrashed on exercises, ranges etc and im sure it was just there and then because we pissed the training tea...

My only grumble with the SA80 is the position of the change lever it always gets knocked on to automatic. And couldn't the safety have been better placed aswell, i don't like having to take my left hand off the rifle to put it on safe. I never got a stopage in training but i did see one spectacular ...

I passed for duty with 901 tp the kings squad yesterday.
Best day of my life, well worth 32 weeks of shit to get there, just a shame the day went so quickly
we made a right mess of the drill display, one DL called us the worst king squad he had ever seen.
Off too 42 on monday.
