I joined at 23, was one of the oldest in my Platoon at the time. Granted this was back in 1993. Being older is an advantage, life experience and all that type of thing. Yes its a foundation College, it allows the army to give basic skills as well as Military Training. Perhaps the recruits coming back from there had the wrong idea before going

Well you have just described every recruit I have every seen come through the system. Its very strange how kids turn up and Grown ups leave. If he wants this then he will do what he has to do. The Recruiter has a list of medical conditions that make you ineligble. 4 years three months is minimum length of service. Over 18 you have a option to leave within the first 28 days of Phase one training. Under 18 and I think its six months with parents permission.

Tab sorry to cut and paste but Now if you join the TA you could get shipped to Afghanistan for six months which wont help your business. Only if he volunteers for deployment!!! As a top up to this story. After spending 109 days this year training this guy who now decides that he doesnt want to go On OP Tosca, he is now asking why he is barred from training till April? Maybe its because you are 90 days over your alloted 19 as a non deploying soldier f@#k knuckle!!!!!!!!!!!!!

well it say's you can go in as much day's as you want and you get paid the same as a regular soldier,so I think you must be mistaken.
