I left on week 11 or 12 at ITC Catterick. Im really stuck what to do, is it possible to join the TA as a drive...

Im not trying to put anybody off but you have to think "why did i leave in the first place". It may be just a shock at first going from all that discipline and routine to normal and you might not be thinking straight. Joining the army is a tough decision to make, it takes commitment and de...

You wont feel like the odd one out, there was a 30 year old guy in my old Platoon, was from the carribean and was the funniest guy in the platoon. You just may be older than the cpls and just a tad younger than the platoon sgts but you definately wont be the odd one out.

Quite a few south africans in the Army, One in my old platoon from cape town and i knew a few others from south africa. Alot of people from over-seas i guess what the guy said above is the best way, there wont be any problems though.

If your going for Infantry/Para then dont bother running 1.5 or taking protein shakes. When you get to Catterick alot will be expected from you from Week 2+, Week 1 is awfully boring medicals, paperwork ETC. Then you do your First fitness test, 1.5mile run max pressups max situps. Dont be fooled abo...

By basic you mean training? When i was at Catterick we started with 51, varied to 52 and 54 (because of people being back squadded) then when I left on week 11 there was 46 and many more handing in DAOR's.

Do yourself a favour and do not rejoin, I left April 24th best decision i ever made. Its not just about running anyways, the running is easy. But running at cattericks abit harder, they arent normal roads or hills there steep horrible hills lol, and loaded march is harder than the runs. ""...
