Cardio Substitution: Cycling vs. Running

I've recently come into a bad leg injury from an "out of aligned hip." Simple question really: If I was running 5 miles at a 7:30 min/mile prior to the injury, what distance would I have to cycle to get the same cardio workout now? I'm trying to think of activities to do instead of running...

Definitaly cheaper, no doubt about that! As for missing out on Lympstone, I did a PRMC back in July '04, so I know what that's all about... wink, wink.

It was well more than 18 months thought, I would say at least 24-30 months, it's been awhile! But they've yet to update so much literature in the AFCO's. It all still reads 30 months.

Types of Trainers

I'm needing to grab new set of runners, and I'm wondering if anybody can suggest a good make/pair of trainers? I'm having a lot of "stress" problems, so any shoes with great shock absorbing qualities would be excellent!

Cheers,

Brent

Overseas Kit Setups

Hey there fellows, I'm just curious what the Royals are sending chaps overseas with as far as kit goes. Are most running a standard PLCE setup, or do most of the guys go for a custom rig, out of their own pockets? Do any of the Royal run a CIRAS setup? Anything else?

Since when have they had one at the barracks, as of a year ago, I didn't know of it. Has it just popped up? Do you know if it caters to just the army seing how it's an RMP base, or does it do all the sections of the AF?

List of AFCO's

Hello:

I'm stuck over here in Canada and I'm wondering if anybody can do a small favor for me? I'm looking to find out what AFCO locations there are in the area around Chichester? I know about AFCO Brighton, but there must be others. Thank you so much for any help.
