Not sure if we were in the same section, but i was definately the old man of the troop.

I was in 908 tp from start to finish. Still speak to a couple of lads every now and then, mainy through Facebook.

Spent a couple of years at 42, then got a shit ping for Logs. Hopefully will be out of there soon though, as it sucks ass.

Combat Intelligence took over the from the old Illustrators branch. If you pass the four day aquaint, you then go on to do a five month course at Lympstone. All units have a small Int Cell, normally just a handfull of guys. Not too sure what the course entails, but the aquaint involves drawing maps,...

Apparently he is at Logs now.

Read into that what you will.
But to only spend a few months at a fighting unit before they send you to CLR does not bode well.

And regardless of what he is like now, the reputation he has made for himself will follow him throughout his career in the corp.

Check this out. http://royalnavy.mod.uk/server/show/nav.4012 I was 27 when i joined, and although it was hard work being the old fart in a troop full of young whipper snappers. As long as you put the age thing out of your mind you'll be alright. And of course i'm essence and use copious amounts of b...

I'll have to thank the Royal Tournament for my interest. Every year as far back as i can remember my Dad would take me. And even as a child the first stand i would visit would be Royal's.

Oh and i forgot to say GGHT, no matter how tough it gets don't quit.

A guy on my bottom field gave up, not realising we only had one more 20 metre sprint to do. He was kicking himself all the way to the station.

From what I can gather bottom field "warm-up" and gym test 2 are similar. (Though undoubtedly tougher). Doing circuit classes twice a week definitely helped me in gym test 2 (i almost found it easy  ) But the bottom field warm up is a whole different ball game. None of my training pr...

Do they really expect you to improve on your PJFT time???
According to that, i can run a 5.3 minute mile. :o
Even on a good day i can only manage 6.2.

Do you think it's worth me mentioning this cock-up to the AFCO?
