Can anyone enlighten me as to the roles and employment oppertunities (especially at the latter stages of ones career) of a phys ed officer in the RAF?

I passed every other test (fieldcraft and physical) with no trouble, but once again my lack of aerobic fitness let me down. I know it was only a 4 miler and the course was pretty flat, but the 32lbs took there toll and my legs refused to carry me at the same speed as ...

As a halfway measure there's always the RMR, plenty of guys your age in our recuit troop at the moment.

It'll still give you the opertunity to be deployed but with the ability to be far more flexible with your time, something i'd imagine would be a good thing with a little'un on the way.

As far as i know mate, it's once per year.

Our selection date was the 1st week of september.

Hi Borisimo,

I got 56/60 press ups, 81/85 sit ups, 31/41 burpees and 11/18 pull ups.

I was really happy with my scores on the day, as never in training had i gotten 11 pull ups, or 81 sit ups in anywhere close to 2 mins.

Definately incorporate burpees into your training as they took me by suprise ...
