Barack Obama
I wish Barack Obama well, he's inherited a challenging situation. Out of the two candidates, he is the better, but I'd never vote for him. Not because I distrust all politicians, I just support right-wing candidates. As we discovered Tuesday night there are lots of swing voters who have no party loy...

Canada out of Afghanistan in 2011
Don't read too much into it SO19, Harper had no choice to say it, he's up for re-election in an over-urbanized country where most people didn't even know we had an army. Harper is the best friend the Canadian Army's ever had and supports the soldiers. He's even attended passing off parades and his v...

TA Selection Weekend
Blackpatriot, My selection weekend was in March 2001 and I don't recall regular versus technical but obviously things have changed. Don't worry about the physical fitness tests! If you don't pass, listen carefully to what advice you're given and what your options are. Don't be afraid to write down w...

Obama vs. McCain
I don't care who wins the presidency at this point, now that it won't be Clinton. Good luck to McCain and Obama, may it it a gallant, chivalrous campaign.

James Thompson RIP
I worked James in the TA for a year in 2001-02. James was a very nice, intelligent young man with a great sense of humour and even better sense of discipline. We were never close friends, but a few little things he did just stand out and I feel I must mention them. Please, if any of the veterans fee...

British Soldier killed 19 May 2008
I found out late last night that unnamed soldier was someone I worked with in the TA for a year in 2001-02. He was a very nice, intelligent young man with a great sense of humour and even better sense of discipline. I won't mention his name until its public. We were never close friends, but a few li...

400 vs. 3800
Harry,
I know the numbers, but the idea is to get others to vote for you from different terminals. Those two may be disqualified for voting using other peoples' emails all day and all night at the same terminal.
Thanks for your votes anyway.

Thanks for all your support. Vote early, vote often, stuff boxes, bribe officals, whatever it takes! Thanks for the note Anglo, have they extracted the oil out of the tar sands under your house yet? I can't f-in-believe the election results from AB, Stelmach gets more seats with less voter turnout! ...

Smacking kids
Artist, I feel badly that you had to have a run-in with such an idiot. All you asked his son to do was clean up a mess! I feel sorry for Dr. Farkwit, he probably lay awake that night knowing you were right wondering where he'd gone wrong. My son's 15 months old and constantly trying to push the limi...
