Iraqi Elections

http://www.guardian.co.uk/Iraq/Story/0, ... 26,00.html

Should they be postponed?

In my opinion they should be, untill at least proper security arrangements are made. A delay would be the sensible thing to do even if Blair, Allawi and Bush insist it would be a victory for the militants.

Contact lenses wouldnt be a good idea becasue they just come off in water. A pair of glasses can just be wiped and only take a second to take off or put on.

I cant bleieve that people are going out to these places for holidays so soon after the disaster. Who would stay in top accomodation knowing what suffering is going on down the road?

New Eyesight policy

I had my medical about a month ago and passed, but yesturday I got a phone call from the AFCO saying that a new policy on eyesight has been adopted. Because I am slightly short sighted, I fall into 'category 3' and therefore have to get my opticians to fill in a form. Although my PJFT is still takin...

Ovourse the twats who shout racist abuse should be shamed and punised. However dont forget that such remarks are made by a minority and most of the supporters do not share those views. The spanish football association needs to kick racism out of football by whatever means necesary. It should fire th...

Can I ask the people who think that McNab is a twat how did they come to that judgement? Do you really know what happened during the BTZ patrol? Do you know McNab personally? I accept that McNabs book does contain some exagerations. However the man worte his book to make money, not to prove somethin...

On the Royal Navy website a few weeks back I saw something which said that it is possible to become a vehicle mechanic straight out of basic training through a direct entry scheme. Dont know if it still applies, but if you are interested then phone the AFCO or check www.royal-navy.mod.uk

The problem is that Americans will always defend thier ways by defining thier actions as democratic. But in my opinion democracy is simply a word and is not something which instantly betters one nation over another autocratic nation. Politicians in democratic and autocratic nations alike are only in...

I also disagree with it. Why should we send our troops to fight for the US when the US has hundreds of thousands of soldiers stationed around the world to call upon? It was only a few weeks ago that Paul Bremner accused the US of having insufficient troop numbers in Iraq; an accusation which the adm...
