Hello, dont know how the TA work but when i went for my pre selection(for SRR) i wasn't allowed to use non issued boots and i have nice blisters to show for it. Also, i didn't think you could train with special forces until you've passed atleast the pre selection? This sounds funny to me, anyway ho...

RAF Nurses

Alright then lads. Just a quick post my mum is interested in joining as a RAF Nurse, however she's 36 i know..she asked me about the physical part of joining because im in the army but i have no idea. Any other info would be valued.

She is a qualified nurse.

I didn't go ITC mate, i was based at pirbright surrey and now at larkhill 7 Para Rha so i couldn't answer your question mate.

You alright mate i made this post in may, I've now completed training. While i was in training i was given the choice of leave the army or she'll leave me...owell life goes on. I now have a nice fiesta and money.

My worst 1.5 time is 9.50mins, i'm not a expert trainer but what i did might not work for you but i started off doing 3miles with every lap i went up this massive hill(this is at best effort) then do the same and gradually increased the mileage, before i did phase one i was already running 8 miles b...

Coxy you need no former military experience to join 4/73 Battery, however you need to be switched on and reasonable fit, the course has a low pass rate so you need motivation and drive not just the thought of being a specialist.
