Martial Law

Would you like to see Martial Law in your country?
I have been reading a lot of threads where there appears to be consternation as to how your own country is being run and the opposition to the alternative opposition parties.
In the UK, the Labour party is unpopular, the Conservatives are also rans, the Liberals? What more Liberalism, I think not. So where are the right of centre politicians that will bring law and order back to our country, wipe the drug pushers and muggers of the face of the earth, paedophiles, child molesters and their ilk would be incarcerated for ever and a day.
Political Correctness would be a thing of the past, no more crap TV from America, MacDonalds/Burger Kings razed to the ground. Children would be VERY respectful of their fellow human beings, teachers in schools would be made to wear uniforms along with their pupils and their schools ran in a regimental fashion.
Anyone found depositing litter, spitting or disposing of chewing gum on the street would be forced to clean them for a year. So what is the answer to all of this:-

"Some day a real rain will come and wash all the scum off the streets..."
The sooner the better!!

"Someday a military reign will come and force all the scum off the streets"
But I don't really think martial law is a good idea. Everyone would only be better behaved because they would be bullied into it. I wouldn't like to see law and order if the cost was everyone's freedom. By all means, punish paedophiles, burglars, muggers etc. more strongly, but don't let's force everyone to live like they're in a concentration camp.

No martial law here possible in most places. Every other citizen has a firearm or two.
Fear a government that fears your guns.

ELP,
Firearm or two?
You mean to tell me other people only have two firearms?
I'm writing the NRA right now so we can adjust this sorry situation.

Yeah they think Iraq is bad, declare that stuff here and toss an American kid off a bridge or do the prison thing like they did there here. They'd wish they'd quit while they were ahead. I could deal with it for a week or so in an emergency, but our average soldier has line scores just above the retard mark and if they were left on the street unmicro managed they'd screw up and shoot someone who didn't need to be shot and the anger of the people here would be like ELP mentioned. Plus you'd have smart soldiers just plain desert in that event.
Martial Law would actually benifit scum here, but you'll never see it for another reason, it would cost the leaders money in their stock's and they'd rather waste 58,000 men, 2000, 3,000, or 1008 like in OIF than lose a buck.

I agree with Don, pretty much.
Now if I say this would have have severe (devastating) effects to apply martial law in the US (or elsewhere for that matter), I admit it's also tempting.
The prison population is breaking record levels here. Yet crime continues to rise.
We can crack jokes at our dyslexic president (I mean, there are several websites dedicated to his misshaps and bad turns of speech): he's just such a huge dartboard, we miss the truly disturbing personalities over at Justice and the Pentagon.
Few, but very few people actually do search and read speeches from Ashcroft, Rumsfeld, Perle (that loathsome skidmark, talk about the "human stain"!) and the Pentagon minions and profiteers.
There is insanity there.
But I digress. I've come to think that even martial law wouldn't be enough for most people to try and understand their government.
We still fling terms like liberal, right-wing conservative, etc. but hey, at the top, it's like debating NATO and SovBloc tracer rounds. Only the color's different, ballistics are same-same and will ruin your day.
In order for political accountability to be there, politicians themselves would have to be available for questioning, questioning under bright lights.
But we won't see that, will we?

Frank you'll see them arch lighting Atlanta from B-52's before you'd see them ever looking into the bright lights I'd think. If you look at most of this terror junk they are paranoid about the financial industry, the policies and even Patriot Act seem more about protecting money than people. Money is these jokers Achilles heel and reading over a year about this OIF OEF and the legislation, watching the knee jerking, it seems all centered around money? Or am I off the mark?

As the old saying goes, possession is 90% of the law. Scott Peterson has more chances of getting off a la O.J. Simpson than some schmo who bounces checks.
An exaggeration maybe, but you get the point.
Arch light Atlanta?
Senior's thousand points of light could become Junior's thousand Kent States..?
I got no feelings about this, I'm just the Gary Cooper type...

Frank I got the picture a long time ago. The big boys and girls burned Waco, killed old Randy Weaver's family all because they resisted in playing their game. They basically said, "If you physically resist our will, we will kill you and make up lies over your dead body"
That is why I think it is time to get active in local elections, democracy works best at the local level Jefferson said, and he ought to know.
I plan on getting in on the local election activity at the University soon. They turned the local communities upside down, all you got to do is turn it back over.
Martial law though, bring it on.

Off the mark??? Whitey you hit it dead on. That is all is about. I did not really start to get that until, I guess back in 1995, I read NAFTA. Yeah, a 1000 pages, but it is not really that heavy of a read . . . but here is the point -- It sells out everyone, and I mean everyone, doctors, workers, truckers, engineers, you name it . . . EXCEPT the Bankers. The rules for the bankers are the only ones that are "different."
I asked our local congress folks about this. Like asked directly and in person. Not harshly either, I personally know the guy that used to be mine (before this latest "redistricting"). NONE of them read it. NONE. But they all voted for it because there consultants (money) "advised" them to vote for it. Same with all seven congress folks for this area.
And it goes on and on and on like this. There is no real conservative or liberal stuff. They are all only in service to money. When you can come out from the Servitude to Money, you become a free man.

It is always about the money, always. It is no coincidence the US is the worlds wealthiest country and the worlds police force. The Central Bankers run the show. I read NAFTA, most of it, same as the Patriot Act. SFC Steven Barry, check him out on the net. Stuff he said 10 years ago is true today and they labeled him a whacko. Ever notice how Americans are constantly just buying "Stuff" you have almost a duty to do so, and if you gather up money, and won't but stuff, they find a way to take it. NAFTA creates a world of global serfs.
How about that Lincoln now? Now we are all slaves
People here need to stop being nice to the enemy
Stop thinking the man likes them and get used to the fact they live in a socialist country and cut the free republic act out, see Ammendment #14.

F*ck me, Whitey, I never saw it before but you're right. They force you to spend by taxing savings (although you've already paid tax when you earnt the money in the first place..) And they're then raking in money from VAT. An retired man who has savings won't get a state pension until his savings are spent, yet a retired man who has no savings gets a measly few coins to live on. Then when he spends, they're taking it back again through their VAT and all the other taxes they place on goods bought. The free world is an illusion. If a man went to the woods, built himself a log cabin, grew vegetables and became self-sufficient, they'd track him down and tell him he has no permission to live there. Then force him back into slavery. That's the western world.... A giant prison camp with a big sign outside reading "freedom"
