I have been caught speeding and have received a Notice of Intended Prosecution. Do I have to tell my AFCO about this, does it really matter?
I only ask because they said to inform them if I have any problems with the law. I start basic in about a month so can't really afford to go to court etc.
Does anyone know how to get out of this?
Thanks,
Ben

I don't think you have to go to court, it's usually 3 points and £60, which is done by mail.
I suppose it won't harm to tell the AFCO, at least it would be off your mind.
Slow down, you'll get there, eventually.

I got caught speeding when I was applying for the RLC as a driver.

I couldn't afford to have points on my licence so I went to court. I only got off because there was no film in the camera. I wouldn't advise you to go to court and fight, it took me around 7 months it would be a lot easier just to pay the fine and accept the points.

Just pay up alot easier, if you don't want to get the points you can ask them about a driving ceminar in hull which has a £60 pound entrance fee and is 2 hours long.

I'll just pay the fine. I am normally very careful but I happened to be driving back from my briefing on what to expect in Foundation - my head was in the clouds.
Thanks for your feedback.

They will want to know, but just a speeding fine won't be a problem.
