I intend to join the paras but my army careers guy has convinced me to put my local regiment as second choice: The Second battalion, The Royal Anglican Regiment (The Poachers).
Im just wondering about what your opinions of the Battalion are. Ive checked the website and its says something about the battalion being jungle warfare specialists, which sounds good.
Does anyone know if they have the SUSAT on thier SA80s or just normal iron sights?
Cheers

I am from cambridge originally and the R angs are the local regiment, i know my brothers mate went to join them but then changed to the para's i dont have working expertise but I would suggest one option would be to join up locally and then if you like it and get on well go on an all arms commando or airborne course. best to wait for advice from someone who has been in though.
Susat is standard issue for most infantrymen, I think that the iron soghts are for logistics, engineers etc I think..........

Boot, in the jungle they would have the iron sight...SUSAT would be used in a less hostile environment and it would not get steamed up.
