Mayor of Gosport

I know he was not one of the ours but he deserves a mention on here.
The Mayor of Gosport who presided over a weekend to remember died early today. He served during the Falklands with the Royal Navy, I believe as a Commander at HQ.
This sad loss came at the end of a short term in office of one month. I met him and his wife on Saturday and I have to say he was someone many will say, as I will, he was a pleasure to know.
I hope you will join me in wishing his family all of our best wishes on this sad occassion after he presented such a dignified presence and a great speach on Sunday.
