Combat medical technician (HELP NEEDED)

Hi, i am preety much 100% sure about joining the royal army medical corps as a combat medic but i have 2 questions.
1. Does a combat medical technician serve on the front line with a section or are they back at the hospitals? (The reason i asked is because i messaged the rifles asking the same question but they said no, each regiment has a team medic training cadre were a medic is trained up for each section)?
2. Do the medics get transferred to a regiment when they complete their training or are they still with the ramc but attached to another regiment?
