Ahh Beer the reason for civilisation itself, no its true in ancient Egypt they have found that the hunter/ gatherer changed to agriculture because of beer fermentation rather than bread making as was originally thought! The Genotype for northern Europeans shows that are systems (sorry for the presumption) in place in our bodies set in place to metabolise weak beer as a replacement for water as it was a good way of getting “sterile” water into our systems! Ahh for then love of beer! Well the best proper English beers in my book our Adnams Broadside and Exmoor Beast (GRRR) and for lagers foreign are best Singhai, Tiger, Leffe triple, XXXX are the best. Stella nice but it unlocks the madness.

Well, to each his own, really, but as for me my favorite's Guinness. I like the occasional Sapporo, too....

Anything I can get down my neck with minimum fuss. Can't stand "wife-beater" though, never have liked it. . .

Stella is the one known as wife beater round these parts. 1664 is a great brew, I can (and do) drink it till it comes out me ears. Or me mouth if I over do it! Always heard Stella called wife-beater or instant a*****e. Never heard it in relation to 1664.
