RAFP - Joining

Why not apply now? If you get through then that's fab, if not then you can either join as an airman and try again in a couple of years, or leave it a couple of years and get some life experience etc.
I'm going through the process of commissioning from the ranks at the moment, but I've been in 9 years and I never originally wanted to be an officer.
You've got nothing to lose, go for it!
