Hi everybody.

I was diagnosed with Aspergers Syndrome when I was younger but I have since talked to a doctor who has said that I do not have it. I don't have Aspergers Syndrome and the reason I was diagnosed with this was because my mother has a condition called Munchausen's by proxy.

Because of my turbulent childhood and the fact my mother made me believe I was ill, I have a history of depression and have been prescribed anti-depressants.

I am no longer with my mother and I don't feel any symptoms of either illness, I am seriously considering joining the RAF.

I also have asthma but It is mild and easily controlled with the use of a preventer. It has not affected my fitness and I am an avid runner and I run half marathons.

Will the fact that medical past is unstable hold me back?

Thank you.

As long as the illnesses have been checked out and you are deemed for I see no issue with you passing.
I currently suffer from depression and the facilities and help you can get to help are magnificent. Their are specific consultants that specialise in depression and the effects it can cause.
