just wondering if anyone can help!

im trying to find out my dads navy personnel number, i know he went into the navy when he was 17, he was born in 1943, unfortunately passed in 2002, not sure how long he served for. i know he was on the second hms ark royal and was a meterologist, does anyone know how i would find out his number?

You would probably be better trying on some of the Navy Websites. Can possible give Rum Ration a try. Or google the Navy Association and they might be able to help.

Was he a member of the British legion, they may be able to help. All you may need is his D.O.B. full name, etc

Try the medal records on ancrstry you might have some luck on there
