can anyone tell me how the icebreaker works? do they name a subject you have to talk about (eg. family and friends) or do you just talk for couple of minutes?

Try using the search facility on here... It's easy... type in 'Icebreaker' and you get 81 links giving you some info on the things... It's not rocket science.... (but rocket science might be a subject you'll be given for your icebreaker... )
