I have herd about the bay of pigs before but never found out what it was I think it had something to do with Cuba.

What makes Castro so bad? Is it because of the Monroe Doctrine? We hated him before the missile crisis obviously. I think we should lift sanctions on Cuba and turn the place back into the Island Vegas it once was, the economies here and there would do good from it. But hey we got pride right?

Well first it would provide opprotunity to the Cubans, thus illegal immigration might slow down lifting the burden cast on Miami. Second US companies would flock there, cruise lines, air travel, hotels, Mc Donalds ect. It would provide Cubans with jobs and cart profits back to the USA, same as letting nike make shoes in Jakarta, yeah we spend some money on payroll there, but we bring back millions. Castro isn't the man he used to be, and never will be again. Because of sanctions, people here and there lose money and better prosperity.

Mikkel, you seem to be a military mastermind, destined for the top offices in the Pentegon. Look for real, just do some research on the topic, like global warming for instance, more toxic gas from rice fields eat the Ozone than car fumes, and global warming ain't a bad thing since geologically we are entering an ice age. Look at the matter from all sides then for an opinion, then type it out here, or people will just eat your post's full of holes. Study the problem before you try to fix it.

I dont understand why you should keep the embargoes on them. America is an expert at this type of situation - it attacks someone first, and when it gets hit back, it makes out like it is the victim.

America tried to overthrow Castro simply because he was a communist who had no economic benefit for the US (same in Chile with the democratically elected Allende, Ho Chi Minh in Vietnam).

America trained and armed Cuban rebels so that they could invade Cuba and overthrow Castro. What do you expect Castro to do? With no support, the only nation he could turn to was the USSR.

The USSR gave Castro protection. Castro traded sugar for oil and arms. Khrushchev saw the advantage of Cuba and wanted to perserve Cuba's communist party, therefore he amred it with nuclear weapons.

Therefore, if anyone deserved sanctions, it was the US for ccreating a situation! It has tried to murder Castro on several occasions. I t says that it would be good for the Cuban people, but America is only interested in restoring Capitalism.

As soon as Castro dies, his son will succeed him. Cuba will remain a communist country, so the sanctions will remain. they will only be lifted when the US can claim Cuba as its friend, ie: a corrupt Capitalist state. (Lets not forget that before Castro came to power, the mafia flourished there and about 5% of the population owned 90% of the land).

I am not a socialist. However, I do have some sympathy for Castro and the people of Cuba. For some reason, when America invades and bombs countries for no reason (no referring to Iraq by the way), assassinates democratically popular and elected political leaders and lies continuously about how it is trying to save the world, it gets praise from the international community.

Yet when Cuba tries to protect itself, it gets condemmed to decades of sanctions, causing alrming growths in poverty, crime, prostitution and decay.

Iraq and Cuba were in the same situation. America imposes sanctions which only harm the people. then when they have taken affect and the people are suffering like hell, they turn around and blame the leaders for corruption and for letting the people starve).

(Yet it ignores countries in Northern Africa, Saudi Arabia, India, Pakistan, India, Jordan, even though they have the most corrupt leaders who let there people starve).

Saudi Arabia is just one example of an existing nation which America calls an ally, ignoring the facts - it is corrupt, full of poverty, has thousands of terrorists who recieve political backing and best of all (even though America is susposedly against undemocratic nations) is just that - undemocratic.

the bay of pigs is the tip of the iceberg over the years the americans have attemted to assasinate castro over a hundred times they have put sanctions on cuba theyve sprayed there crops to destroy them theyve intentionaly spread foot and mouth to there animals and despite all of this they still have free universitys and are wiping out child poverty at a faster rate than we are

I assume your talking about the university's that sell Doctorates to foreigners so they may practice medicine in the third world.
Little dangerous in my opinion.
As to child poverty why are so many Cubans still risking drowning to get their kids out of Cuba?

If you really want to be taken seriously I recommend you use your spellchecker.
If they graduate in Cuba they will have to stay there as their degree is not recognised anywhere else.
