I've noticed in some recent pics, films, and games that the Americans have put what I can only describe as a rounded foot on the bottom of their STANAG magazines on their weapons. Is it a foot, I always thought you should never hold a mag or use a mag as a rest when firing?

Still, people love to pimp their guns with rails, grips, etc. What will they think of next?

I assume he means a mag pull? Makes magazines easier to pull out mate. Try googling it, think thats what you mean?
