33 year old intrested in 4 para

Is trying to join 4 para a big ask for a 33 1/2 year old ? i would not say i am the fittest due to being a smoker , though i am right weight for my height. once i start the ball rolling i will ditch the fags and will be prepared to put in some serious training along with working 50 hrs on a construction site. I REALISE how tough it will be but am willing to give it 110%.

You will need to bear in mind that most of the soldiers will be a lot younger than you and so will many of the NCO's. It is one of those things you will need to think about very carefully be you join

I`m 35 and have just started my cadre with 4 Para go for it.

Did you have to have previous military experience to start with 4 Para at 35?
