How long would it be from applying to the TA to being deployed?

Also, what are the restrictions on criminal convictions and cautions, I have one caution for a Road Traffic Act offence, would this make a difference. I know it means I won't be able to join the police for about 5 years most probably, is it the same as in the TA.

Just one more thing, how long are you under contract for in the TA?

I'd imagine it would be quite a while before deployment as you dont train as often as in the Regs.......but I dont know. This is my wild guess only

your talk atleast a year for basic with all the waiting and that, then its on to trade training. Who you looking to join? If you go infantry your off to catterick before u can get deployed. As for the offence traffic is normally a civil offence which does not concern them, always best to be honest about everything tho.
