this is probably a really dumb question

well my hubby is in tech school and we got our orders im not sure if now is the time to call for base housing and for them to pick up our HG(household goods) we don't know when we will be going, but we know where(MINOT ND) im new to the air force (obviously) and im just really confused. please help

Lookie here,
This here is the deal. If you make the military complicated it becomes complicated. If you leave it alone the system runs pretty smooth. My advice is to call the movers number and ask them what to do. They have been doing this for a long time and will give you the best advice. As for your husband possibly deploying, hey just deal with it when you get there. If you want some pointers 1. get a general power of attorney(For emergencies only, buying a Mustang convertable isn't an emergency) 2 Get a credit card(Treat it like the power of attorney. 3. Get your name on the bank account, ATM card and checks with bills in your name(He doen't have the time if he ship's out)
4. clip coupons, save money both when old boy is home and fighting for my freedom. 5. (Most important) Be cool. Relax and take it one step at a time and use your common sense. If you do this and and keep your head on straight you'll be good to go. Minot ND, farm state, good place for a first duty assignment. And BTW your an enlisted mans wife, start acting like it, only officers wives are supposed to act so needy and helpless. J/J
When you get to Minot go meet his 1Sg with him, and ask these questions, you'll get answer's from the horses mouth, and your husband laughed at possibly.
