Folks, I have my BARB coming up soon. I've completed the BARB book and got them all correct first try, I've also taken the sample BARB test online, multiple times, I got them all correct at this stage, not that any of it counts towards the real test.

Before I go I am looking to arm myself up with tips so I can give the best first impression possible.

Also, will I be required to take any extra IQ type tests?

I intend on making my first visit just like I would any first interview, neat dressed, shaved and hair cut so I've got that covered.

Any tips would be appreciated and thanks for all the help, if I could find someone with a credit card I would make a donation for sure, working on it!

Relax! If you got them all correct and you didn't think you was overly slow then your bound to get a decent score.
You do maths and English basic tests that are rather easy. Little tip as its done via reaction time as well is keep your fingers near the middle of the screen ( its a touch screen) when doing it to shave of a few ms each press.

If you've bn friend to the booklet that was given to you to practise, you'll be alright . Once on the computer taking the test , time 'll be faster than normal.
You've got to learn how to think fast , accurate and act upon it .Cos in the Army we work with time and speed .

Great thanks for the help, the separate Math and English test, would it be fairly straight forward questions like, a picture of a pizza which is a 1/4 etc? and the English, Find the misspelled words?

I took the online BARB and its got different sections for Math and English questions, the above type of questions came up so if its like that I should be OK.

Thanks for the hand/finger tip, I come from a sporting/racing back ground, I know everything in between each second counts. I'll use the search function later, Cheers.
