Press Ups at AOSB

Hi,
I have a quick question about AOSB. I'm just working out the best way to approach the press ups. I can easily do the 44 within 2 minutes and know this is a minimum. But the way I train is with a break every 15 or so press ups and then start again. I still do it within 1.5 mins.
At AOSB are you able to rest during the press up stage, and does anyone know if this rest has to be in the press up position or can you come out of the position to rest your arms / legs?
Just want to make sure i've got my ducks in line before I go forward.
Thanks for the help.
Mat

Not too sure mukker , try and do more than 15 pressups before a rest , it really isn't that hard right

.
also follow this programme it might help
http://hundredpushups.com
i dont use it but i know people that have and there press ups have increased by quite a few.
but seriously i myself would class you as ''UNFIT'' if you carnt manage more than 15 in one go mate

I can do like 27 press ups without stopping - so thats no dramas. Just trying to work out the best strategy to achieving the 44 in two mins.
If you can rest of the position then its a lot easier.

Follow the training program you were given by your AFCO or mate and forget about stopping or not during the exercise. I started from 10 , now i can do 77 without stopping(at least try to increase with five every week if not more than ) in some cases you will be on the press up position (chest lower to the ground with your rms at the showder width excatly the position you'll push up from, believe me this will decreas your ability to reach your goal as most people often end up with unexpected .

hey Mat, having just done AOSB I can tell you that you can rest between press ups if you need to. Although they don't allow you to stand up during your rest times! If you have any other questions about it then happy to help if I can.
Best of luck with it

If it's 44 Pushups in a minute and a half. Do 22 then rest for 10 seconds then bang out 22 more. But you wanna be doing 25 maybe a set.
You can rest on AOSB as in basic we where allowed on ours. But I'm sure it's just a quick breather whilst on your knees.

Hello mate , you do mentioned ''on your knees'' was that PFT or just on your usual training time? , cos you won't be allowed to be on your knee till the 2 mins is over. Chest lower to the ground with a quick rest (excatly from the position you'll push up from ......
