My Knee/Criminal record.

Post by LegendLuke »

Hello guys and dolls.

I have a question... I was medically discharged back in 06 for a condition on my knee, known as "anterior knee pain" Upon leaving it was noted that the injury should be ok within tweleve months.

I had an operation a few months back, a knee arthroscopy (see google)... Now this operation is not to do anything specific to my knee, its simply 3 cuts to open it up, have a look around and see what the crack is. When i woke up, the doctor told my my knee was fine, I just needed physio. He didnt perform ANY surgery on my knee at all. I've been doing my physio for a while, and now all is OK with my knee.

Now I know the army can be reluctant to accept anyones application if they've had an operation within a few months. but given the fact the OPP showed my knee its self was fine, do you think this will have a major bearing?

Also, when leaving I got convicted of Assault, I was given 18 month conditional discharge. Now that's spent the record no longer exists and I dont have to declar it to employers, nor will they find it when they perform their CRB checks... Should I have declared this?

Thanks for your help in advance :D
